On signing, so nobody is misled

Droplana signs PDFs in the browser. Either side can type, draw or upload a signature, place it on the page and save. The signed file becomes a new item with the original preserved, carrying a notation caption and a scannable QR code, and every signature is recorded server-side with who signed, when, from what IP and which login they used. Anyone can check a signature on a public verification page that includes a hash comparison of the file itself.

Signing requires an email-identified session: a client holding only a permanent link cannot sign until they have verified by email magic link, Google or Microsoft.

What it is not: certificate-based, qualified, notarised, or backed by any identity verification beyond the login. It carries no knowledge-based authentication. Form 8879 e-signing has specific IRS requirements and this does not meet them. If a regulator has told you what your signature process must satisfy, take that document as the requirement, not a vendor page.
