How Droplana works
The pages that explain the product itself: what a client portal is for, what each feature does, how to set it up and what people ask before they start.
Droplana is a client document portal for professional service businesses. Each client gets one private portal where you send documents, the client sends files back, including phone photos of paper, and comments stay with the file they are about. Clients open it without creating an account. The pages below explain each part of that, one question at a time.
Which page answers which question
- What is a client portal, and do I need one? The client portal software guide explains the category, when a shared folder is enough and what to check before choosing.
- How do clients send files back? Client uploads covers uploading from a computer or a phone, photographing paper with the camera, and the file size each plan allows.
- How do I ask a client for a set of documents? Document checklists shows how a client sees what is missing, uploads from a phone and gets reminders.
- How do we give feedback on a file? Comments and approval shows the comment thread on each file and the Approved or Rejected marker either side can set.
- How do clients get in, and how strict is it? Client access explains the three access levels, the remembered device and signing in with Google or Microsoft.
- How does a client sign a PDF? PDF signing covers signing in the browser, the signed copy saved beside the original and the public record anyone can check.
- Can I connect an AI assistant or my own systems? Integrations explains the MCP server, the outgoing webhooks and what a connected tool can and cannot reach.
- Can my colleagues work with me? Team access lists the seats per plan and what team members can and cannot do.
- Can I get all my files out? Export and download covers ZIP and folder downloads, the record of files and comments, and leaving Droplana.
- How do I set up my first client? Instructions walks through the first portal, a document request and returning work, with a separate guide for your clients.
- What do people ask before they start? The FAQ answers questions about access, limits, hosting, signing, retention and pricing.
- Who runs Droplana? About names the company behind it and how to reach us.
Prices and plan limits are on the pricing page. How files are protected, and where the protection stops, is on the security page.
